The client approached me with a few ideas they had sketched out but wanted help refining the design and saving it into a useable format. 

Having had a meeting with them to discuss exactly what they needed, I sent them a page of possible designs and in various colours so they could see how the logo would work.

Including the hearts and tree were very important to them for their message of caring for the world.
